Allied Healthcare Professionals Recognition Week is May 8th – 14th, 2022. With over 190 different disciplines in Manitoba, allied health professionals are a critical part of our health care system.
Allied health professionals provide care and services to Manitobans in hospitals, laboratories, clinics, ambulances, long-term care homes, private homes, schools, and in the community. They serve as technologists, clinicians, therapists, coordinators and many other specialized professions, encompassing 190 distinct disciplines. On Friday. May 13th the Winnipeg sign at The Forks will be lit up green in recognition of Allied Healthcare Professionals Recognition Week.
