International Day of Older Persons: Community-Research Connections with Long Term Care 

Event Invitation: MAHCP Members Working in Personal Care Homes

The Centre on Aging, University of Manitoba is hosting an upcoming event, International Day of Older Persons: Community-Research Connections with Long Term Care. This event will bring together Centre on Aging Research Affiliates and those working at personal care homes in Manitoba to explore evidence-based needs among personal care homes with the potential of developing research collaborations. We are looking for both those who provide direct care/supports and services (e.g., nurses, health care aids, allied health, physicians, etc.) as well as leadership/management to attend. DATE: Thursday, October 1, 2026

TIME: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Holiday Inn Winnipeg South (1330 Pembina Hwy).
