MAHCP is pleased to announce that our Executive Council has voted to affiliate with the Manitoba Federation of Labour (MFL), joining over 120,000 workers across Manitoba fighting for fairness.

“With our health care system in crisis, now more than ever it is important for us to stand together,” said Bob Moroz, President of MAHCP. “By joining the Manitoba Federation of Labour, we continue to strengthen our voice in fighting for allied health professionals and a better health care system for all Manitobans.”

The decision to affiliate builds on a strong and longstanding informal partnership with the MFL. Recently, MAHCP joined the MFL in the Partnership to Defend Public Services, battling together against the Pallister Government’s unconstitutional wage-freeze legislation, Bill 28.  MAHCP was also a major sponsor of MFL’s celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the Winnipeg General Strike.

“I am excited about the opportunities this affiliation will create for MAHCP members, Executive Council and staff to be able to participate in the various committees, events and educational opportunities that MFL has to offer,” said Moroz.
