As a member of MAHCP, you have a powerful voice in shaping safe, respectful healthcare workplaces that support staff and patient safety, security, and wellbeing.
Healthcare professionals should be able to expect safe, secure workplaces, and all employees should be empowered to speak up about safety concerns, participate in training and drills, follow safe work procedures, and contribute to a culture of care and accountability.
Safety and health at work is a collective right, and it is a shared duty between employers and staff.

Our Actions.
As your union, MAHCP advocates for compliance with safety and health legislation across the public healthcare system, and for adequate resources to support workers in the event of an incident, accident, or injury.
Safety & Health is a critical issue in health care, and feelings of being unsafe are a detriment to recruitment and retention. MAHCP is taking significant steps outside of the enforcement of your Collective Agreement to advance safety and health priorities, to advocate for improvements throughout healthcare facilities in Manitoba, and to redress violations under the Act.
