MAHCP Agrees to Postpone Strike Deadline

On Monday, June 12, after a long weekend of bargaining, MAHCP began to make more significant monetary advances, including an agreement in principle on major monetary items. As a show of good faith, and to give both sides more time to come to an agreement and avert a strike, MAHCP’s Bargaining Committee has agreed to postpone the June 15th strike deadline. A new strike deadline has not been set.

There are still a significant number of outstanding issues, both monetary and non-monetary, on the table. We must see more progress in order to reach an agreement that serves our members and puts retention, recruitment and work-life balance first.
