This Monday, July 23, MAHCP President Bob Moroz and Labour Relations Officer (LRO) Chelsea Kaufmann are kicking off a tour of Northern Manitoba.
Kaufmann’s portfolio here at MAHCP now includes Shared Health Diagnostic Services for the north, and both she and President Moroz will be available to answer members’ questions about current issues during this Northern Manitoba tour.
Their first stop is in Thompson for a picnic being hosted by MAHCP and UFCW, and MAHCP Vice-President Tanya Burnside will also be in attendance. Members of both unions are invited to attend.
The picnic runs from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm in Juniper Ball Park (behind the hospital). On the menu are hot dogs, chips and drinks, and there will also be prizes given away.
The second stop will be in Flin Flon on Tuesday, July 24, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Victoria Inn (Flinty Room) and pizza, salad and drinks will be provided.
The tour wraps up in The Pas on Thursday, July 26, with a supper for MAHCP members from 4 pm until 6 pm at the Golden Agers meeting room, Kin Centre, 324 Ross Ave. (please use the centre’s back entrance). The supper is being catered by Berscheids Meats and includes pork on a bun, a variety of salads, and beverages.
