Update from MFUR President Paul Moist

Posted September 2, 2025

The Manitoba Federation of Union Retirees (MFUR) is back online with a new website stronger than ever!

MFUR was “re-booted” in May 2024 after ceasing operations during the COVID pandemic. As the Manitoba affiliate of the 500,000-member Congress of Union Retirees of Canada (CURC), MFUR is made up of retired union members who are supportive of the aims and objectives of Canada’s trade union movement. The organization’s goal is to provide a progressive space for all retired union members, while advocating on seniors’ issues and prioritizing support for Manitoba Federation of Labour (MFL) affiliates and other progressive groups and causes.

Over the past 15 months, Executive Council (and members) have worked hard to lend strength to affiliate strikes and demonstrations, and also appeared before legislative committees to support bills championed by the MFL.

Connect with other retired members and join actions that matter to you! Become a member of the Congress of Union Retirees of Canada (CURC) to automatically become a member of MFUR.
